What makes the organization unique?
Peterson Outdoors Ministries' (POM) mission is to provide faith based outdoor recreational therapy for injured and recovering Veterans and their families, 1st Responders as well as youth and adults with disabilities or terminal illness.
Who can sign up to participate:
Any veteran of any war and from any branch.
Both veterans and active duty military
How Much Does It Cost?:
All veterans participate at no cost to them!
Covers all expenses. Travel, food, lodging, licenses and permits, all are covered.
What kind of activities are offered?
Hunting- (deer, turkey, and waterfowl)
Fishing,
Boating,
Kayaking,
Horseback riding,
Adaptive water sports.
Basically anything outdoors, POM offers it.
How Long Do The Activities Last?:
Usually the events are between two-four days
